2015 ACATA / ANZATA Art Therapy Conference

This is a unique arts therapy conference, jointly hosted by ACATA and ANZATA, to be held on Saturday 17 October and Sunday 18 October 2015, at fabulous Glenelg Beach, Adelaide.

Two internationally renowned keynote speakers will work with the conference attendees on Day One of the conference, Saturday 17 October:

  • Art therapist Lynn Kapitan (USA)
  • Drama therapist Sue Jennings (UK)

They will also facilitate Master Classes on Friday 16 October.

Call For Proposals

The 2015 ACATA/ANZATA conference will highlight the wide variety of arts therapy modalities, practices, applications that underpins the reality of the arts therapy landscape in our region of Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and the rest of Asia/Pacific. Our international keynote speakers, Lynn Kapitan (Art Therapist, USA) and Sue Jennings (Dramatherapist, UK) will challenge experienced therapists to discover new horizons for their practice. Participants can expect to encounter creative collaboration, including drama, movement, dance, visual arts, sound/music and current research highlighting the benefits of utilising creative arts therapies in practice. We will also hear about the client experience in arts therapy across the sectors, and practitioners can expect to gain skills to enhance their practice.

We invite professionals across Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Asia/Pacific and the world to contribute to, and experience this inaugural event.
